Is making one shirt from another shirt hard?

I have a shirt that I love (two of them actually) and it is passed it's last legs (arms). If I found the same material would it be hard to reproduce it by gently taking it apart and using it as a model for the new shirt?

My sewing skills are limited but I have a great sewing machine that makes it all seem pretty easy.

I'd say it depends on the shirt. I've learned most of my sewing skills by taking things apart and examining them but some things are trickier than they appear. It may be a great project to take on if you are looking for an in depth sewing lesson!

Knowing the shirts proportions and measurements is key to having the same fit... I suggest getting some main measurements before taking apart the old shirt.
