What's the Most popular men's swim trunks today? Most comfortable?

Not sure if this is the right catagory, but here goes: A mutual friend has asked what style men's swim suit he should wear for the boy's swim team at an all-male school. He says there's a great variety from middie-thigh to full pants to Speedo briefs. He asks "What the most comfortable style?"

Back in the day, Speedo spandex briefs were the suit to wear if you were on a swim team... but I'm out of touch. What passes for decency these days? Or is this even an issue at all?

    I would say go with a box cut swimsuit. They aren't too revealing yet there isn't so much cloth that you feel like you're wearing jeans. And they look good on pretty much everyone
