I am a non-drawing type artist who is interested in creating a graphic novel

Hi. I am interested in creating a graphic novel series. I have many ideas, but am unable to draw well. My strength lies more in story telling. My question to you: where do I begin to look for potential collaborators? Any other pointers you can share with a non-drawing type artist interested in creating something in this medium?

It's usually useful to look at deviantart.com, which is a comics/concept artist gallery-type website, for potential collaborators. There are lots of people looking for projects.

I would definitely work out your package as clearly as you can. If you have no other work to show--other graphic novels, I mean--you need to have a synopsis, character briefs, some sort of outline. Some sort of pitch package you can present to the artist; then when you find someone who might want to work with you, ask them to draw a sample scene, probably no more than five or six pages long (that's a pretty big investment of time for an artist, probably five days' work).

Then present that to publishers and see if you can get the go-ahead from there.
