does Nutella have to be refrigerated?

I buy mine at DeLaurenti's, the label is in Italian, and it doesn't seem to say...
It gets hard and crumbly in the fridge, so I am thinking not.

If you buy one with an English label it will tell you NOT to put it in the fridge. Keep in the cupboard and you won't have that problem.

You might still want to eat it relatively quickly (not a problem at my house anyway). Even the most processed, shelf stable stuff can eventually go rancid.

Yeah, that's been my experience with Nutella. It's not as hardy as PB.
