Good (easy) places to ride a bike in Seattle?

I'm not fit and I don't want to begin my biking experience by killing myself on the local hills. Got any good places that are flat and ideally somewhat scenic and bike friendly of course.

Bike Sundays on Lake Washington Blvd are a great way to do some flat, scenic cycling.

The Burke-Gilman is nice if you don't mind a bit of traffic, just stay to your right and let the whackos go around you.

The Burke Gilman is perfect for you. It's flat, goes through some really nice scenery, especially if you can make it over to the east side of the lake.

The only problem is that it's crowded with bikers wearing their Lance Armstrong costumes bellowing "On your left!"

Around Green Lake of course. I grew up in Wallingford and have ridden around G.L. many times
