Weekday farmers markets?

Do they exist in Seattle, or are they just a weekend thing?

Am I missing something completely obvious?

And if not, what's a good weekday alternative? I'm so tired of Whole Foods.

Well, there's always Pike Place for fresh produce and such. They're open seven days a week (but close around 5:30 or 6 pm, I believe, so you don't have a lot of time to get there if you work 9-5.

According to localharvest.org (which lists farmers' markets across the nation) most are on weekends, but Phinney has one Friday afternoons from 3-7 pm and Columbia City's market is on Wednesdays from 3-7 pm.

Colombia City Farmers Market is a real scene...music, produce, food carts, diversity...Every Wednesday 3-7 pm.

I also like the one in the Central District, I'm not sure what it's officially named now, it's in the parking lot of the Grocery Outlet on the corner of MLK and Union st. 3-7 pm Fridays. It's less crowded but has fewer vendors.

I know Wallingford has one on Wednesdays 3-7. Here's a webpage with info including other locations:

Looks like Madrona is on Fridays. Don't know about any others...

Queen Anne has one on Thursdays during the summer. I love it because I can hit the Fremont market on Sunday and hike up the hill on Thursday and have fresh produce all week.

It's 3-7 pm, Thursdays, June 18 - October 1 at W Crockett Street @ Queen Anne Ave. N, according to their website . Unfortunately it's not the most convenient for people who aren't already on Queen Anne or at the foot of it.
