What is the "best" wand vibrator on the market?

Thinking of an unusal 25 wedding anniversary gift for "us" and for the wife... I've always heard about a Wahl brand vibrator as the best... but there's a host of other imitators out there now... Magic wand, Hitachi wand, etc. Are they all the same or just different models put out by the same parent company.

And, do you recommend the attachments, or are they a rip-off. Thanks for an honest evaluation.

Actually, the Wahl is what is called a "coil-operated" vibrator, (using spinning electromagnetic coils to produce vibration).

The Hitachi is a motor-drivien "wand" vibrator.

The Wahl type— and they are certainly the best brand in the coil category— is shaped like a pistol, or a curved brush, and they're very quiet and intense, focused.

The Hitachi— they have NO competition, quality-wise— is also intense, purrs with its motor, and is more diffuse, with a bigger surface.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with either model I have both and couldn't bear to give any of them up!

One interesting thing is despite their notoriety for pleasure, the Wahl is still ownded by a Catholic company that puts in a directions sheet that warns you not to use their product "on the genitals." There is NO OTHER PLACE TO USE IT!

Hitachi is not so blatant in their denials; they simple refuse to acknowledge why their product is famous. They, at least, are correct, that their vibrator does feel good on sore muscles... it's just fine for that, too!

If you are a greedy little pig for your anniversary, I say, get both! Or save one for Xmas!

    Hitachi magic wand.

I like the attachments - but I'd get the silicone ones, not the plastic hollow ones.

Is it the case in 25 years of marriage this is the first sex toy? Rather than ordering a vibrator as a gift, I think a more touching gift would be a couples trip to a female-friendly toy shop like Babeland in Seattle. You might come back with something completely different. There's nothing unusual about a sex toy as a gift; I'm just suggesting collaboration and communications during the selection process. If you and the wife don't normally talk about the kind of stimulation that works best for you, this is a good chance to talk.

Magic Wand is VERY powerful compared to the common battery-powered vibrator. It has a lot of fans, but it's not for everybody. I will say one positive thing about the dildo-style attachment(s) for the Magic Wand. While it might not be well-regarded for vaginal penetration, it is really quite nice for anal rimming and prostate stimulation.
