Where's the best place in Seattle to buy a mandolin?

I know that some music stores are better than others, but I don't want to drive all over town finding a place I can trust.

    Dusty Strings and Trading Musican are excellent places to check out for a mandolin.

    Dusty Strings in Fremont has a great selection. During the Memorial Day weekend they typically have a Folklife Festival sale, which might get you 10-15% off the normal retail price of at least some of their instruments.

    The Folk Store, in the University District has a smaller selection, but the owner is a mandolin player himself, and is super helpful.
