Go to the Apple Store website and choose the Education Store from the menu on the left. Follow through the menus to identify your student affiliation and school. You will then arrive at a store showing the educational prices.

It's like $100 off a macbookpro - but you save more, about 40% off the apple care protection.

You can also download academic price lists for Apple hardware, software, and accessories, as well as other companies' hardware and software, from the University Bookstore at http://www.bookstore.washington.edu/tech_center/tech_center.taf?. I believe they're only allowed to sell Apple products (and maybe a few other things) to UW students (and staff and faculty), but they will sell most of the rest at academic prices to anybody with a valid college id from any school.

And as Russ said--if you're not a UW student, you can still buy Apple products at academic prices direct from Apple.
