Best place for semi-quiet work in the afternoon with a great sandwich and espresso?

I need some place to work near Capitol Hill that is friendly, tasty, and just the right amount of distracting. What say you?

Victrola on the hill has my favorite sandwiches, they pair well with a good cup of coffee.

And if you're ever on the other side of the lake, urban coffee lounge in Kirkland is a great place, friendly locals and awesome coffee

Arabica! Their sandwiches are BOMB and the coffee is also delicious. Doesn't get too busy and loud. YUMYUMYUM.

It's not near Capital Hill, but Sip and Ship in Ballard and Greenwood is awesome. The one in Ballard has a lot so you can sit there and watch people come and go all day. Super staff, Cafe Vita coffee and house made sandos.

Also, in Fremont, there's Canal Coffee. They have a sunny deck, coffee, sandos and $2 Hales Beer.

Both usually rock KEXP all day too.

Check 'em out when you venture out of your hood, but don't take my seat!!
