What is the preferred male grooming pattern?

Not facial grooming, pubic. Is the Grizzly Adams crotch beard, trimmed, shaped and trimmed (pole patch), or shaved best?

    I prefer full trim around the sides and balls, and leave the top portion trimmed down but with still visible hair.

    Let the receiver-maniuplator of the pubic area's accouterments decide. That is, let her/him trim and shave to her/his heart's content.

    When I'm not in a relationship, I leave it be. A blank canvas, if you will.
