I'd also suggest scrolling through some of the podcast archives for NPR's 'Planet Money'. They had a few collaborations with 'This American Life' discussing different aspects of the financial crisis over the past couple years.
But I also really like their regular show; its always pretty interesting, makes complex/obtuse financial news more understandable and comes in very digestible 15-20 minute segments.

Have you checked out the PBS website? They have episodes of Frontline on demand dealing with the housing bubble and the Wall Street meltdown.

How Goldman Sachs Came to Rule the World by William Cohan. Long history of Goldman through the 20th century, but worth it to set the stage. Ezra Klein's blog. And +1 on Frontline.
