Has the "Gay" been dropped from "Pride Parade"?

Was it ever there? If it was dropped... why? To be more inclusive of the larger LGBT group?

side question: is "gay" spelled with a capital "G"?

    Forgive the wiki "research", but apparently "Gay Pride" (versus "Liberation") was a shift in the 80s, and I'm sure dropping the "Pride" was just as much passive as it was easier than being exclusionary towards the LBTQ portions.

    @John: It's *both* the Rainbow Flag and the Pride Flag. I don't understand the concern.

    I have an add-on question...the Gay/Pride Flag.

    This was traditionally called the Rainbow Flag and was inclusive of any and all "groups" (as in Rainbow Coalition) not just G or LG or LGBT.

    Is that no longer the case?
