Q-Land Stupid Human Tricks

I have a theory that everyone on earth can do at least one weird thing with their body. Granted, if enough people can do it it's not technically weird any longer, but still.

Let's say we're all in a Q-Land party room and we've had a few. Whatcha' got?

I have extreme hitchhiker's thumb (well beyond 90 degrees back).

I can touch my thumbs to my wrists or fold them behind my hands.

I have an extremely long tongue, but I cannot touch my nose with it OR roll it at all, which (I think) puts me in the minority (85% of people can roll their tongue according to some statistic I once found in an unreferenced place).

Hey, you asked.

I can also clap my hands just so in front of my open mouth to create a wood-block sound that is shockingly loud. By changing the size and shape of my oral cavity I can even play tunes. I've taught a number of small boys and older women how to perform this trick at Sounders games.

Neat! I should try that.

I've just now gotten do the point where I can do that hand-whistle hooting sound on a reliable basis. No tone variation, though.

I've also always wanted to be able to do that water-drip noise with your mouth, like Cameron does in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

I'm going to choose to believe you do that frill thing when startled, to scare predators. It makes me happy.

I've never been able to whistle with my hands or my fingers, only with pursed lips. I am so ashamed.

When I was a kid, I could whistle normally. Then one day, I decided to see if I could whistle on the inhale too, so I could keep up a constant tune. When I developed the skill to whistle on the inhale, I lost it for the exhale. Never got it back. Now I can only whistle by sucking air in, so I get lightheaded if I do it for too long.

I've tried for so long to whistle on my fingers (that shrill whhheeeEEEET), but all I get is spit on my hands.

Also want to learn to whistle through teeth. No dice so far.

Hand whistling just took lots of practice and time...you have to figure out the exact shape of your hands and where to put your lips, and then practice enough to get your hands into that configuration with less and less trial and error. Just takes time.

I can twitch my lower eyelids independently of other facial motion--meaning, I can move them sideways. I have yet to meet anyone else with this stupid human trick.

I can solve Rubik's cubes in a few minutes 100% of the time. Every once in a while I will see one sitting on the shelf in someone's office or house -- a little dusty -- and just casually solve it while chatting.

The reaction is more like "Wow, you're a nerd" instead of "OMG are you a genius?!?!?!"

It took me a few hours using a 2 or 3 guides from Google on solving them and making up my own way of doing it based on combining their methods. It's actually pretty easy; you only have to memorize maybe 20 possible cube positions and how to move onto the next step/position, and the steps are often similar to each other.
