Why do all of Joss Whedon's post Buffy shows get canceled so early?

    I think it's because most of his following (like myself) do not watch T.V. anymore.

    We love the shows, but we consume them in alternative methods that aren't measured as well by the traditional television analysts. This makes the old execs think the shows are bombing, and so they cancel them.

    Part of firefly's issues was fox's moronic decision to air them out of order. Of coursethats gonna confuse viewers and keep all but the die hards from watching...

    Because;

    1. Life is not fair.
    2. There is no god.
    3. If god wanted JW shows to succeed he would have given people taste.
    4. There is an insidious plot against me.

    I could go on, but that's the general idea.

    Firefly? Dunno.
    Dollhouse? Because it was quite awful.

    Because his fan base is a niche audience. Not everyone enjoys hus brand of writing. And while it's all very not everyone "gets" it.
