High energy punk or rock bands based in Seattle area?

I'm looking to expand my local music repertoire. What local bands do you recommend going to see that are high-energy and either punk or rock?

They don't have to be super popular, just fun bands to see perform.

    Butts
    The F**king Eagles
    The Spits
    Watch it Sparkle
Dinosaur and the Missing Link (still playing?)
    The Whore Moans
    Unnatural Helpers

    There's quite a lot. But that's a start.

Also, hit up Reverb fest in Ballard this September, sponsored by the Stranger's competition. All local bands, much smaller crowds than CHBP, and cheap. You can take in a whole lot of bands at once to see what's around.

Your best bet might be to focus on a couple of clubs, such as The Funhouse and the Comet, which book these kind of bands and tend to have fun audiences. In that way you can take a more spontaneous approach to show-going, and have the pleasure of discovery.

I would recommend Thee emergency. No-fi soul rebellion is fun live, but they are from Bellingham.

I reckon I'd start with Zeke and go from there. I haven't seen them in a while but I'd be surprised if they didn't still rock out like a swarm of angry bees on meth.

For local, but not Seattle (Portland based), I love:

Mad Rad, United States of Electronica, Secret Shoppers, the Country Lips all seem to inspire a pretty good crowd reaction (all rock-ish, but not even close to punk.)
