what's your favorite "Amazing Stories" tv episode?

this 80's tv series was and is such an undervalued gem.
More importantly, a quick scan of the episodes show the seeds of SO many movies and typecasts (galaxy quest, the santa clause, memphis belle, the truman show, good will hunting, weird science, green mile, and several star trek stories)

My faves are --
"Gather Ye Acorns" (a follow your heart story with Mark Hamill and Forest whitakker)
and "The Mission" ("Luck may be running out for the crew of a World War II bomber with crippled landing gear and its tail gunner trapped in his compartment.")

I'd have to go with Episode #1 "Ghost Train", with a wide eyed young Lukas Haas (the episode was released the same year as his appearance in Witness with Harrison Ford) and Roberts Blossom as Old Pa, the family's live-in grandfather.

It had a real big screen quality Spielberg movie feel to the production of the final scene when the train runs right through the family's new home.

Interesting to Note: Roberts Blossom just passed away this July 8th (two months ago) at the age of 87

Correction to your description of "The Mission" plot: The cartoonist gunner in the episode was trapped in the belly turret of a B-17.
