Personal/grown-up gift for digital artist/nerd boyfriendOh man. He works in CG effects. Likes: Star Trek/Wars, tanks, military history, Pixar, all matter of video games. Italian food, though he's not a connoisseur. Some hobby photography. In the past, I've gotten him indie nerdy t-shirts, books on digital art. I knit him hats all the time, so that's out. No sweaters -- don't want to go down that curs'd road. I can fall back on some nerdy merch, but this year I want to get him something more personal or more useful but a little more grown-up. Some bum ideas: 1. A monogrammed leather journal, except he really wouldn't use it much.
We don't tend to spend a lot -- $50-70, tops. Low-key. I wouldn't mind bumping it up to $100. Danke. |
