Good place for dinner with mom and 8 year old?

I'm taking and 8 year old and her mom out for dinner. The kid eats most anything and is an angel, but the the mom is a vegetarian. Nice place not too far from the hill would be ideal. Thanks.

There are a few things that came straight to mind:

    1. Tutta Bella on Westlake and Denny. This is one of their nicer locations: great city views, cool space and yummy eats. Lots of veggie options.

    2. Cafe Lago in Montlake off of 24th. Great pasta, nice atmosphere.

    3. Coastal Kitchen on 15th on the hill is always a nice family night out.

    In the Bowl!
It's both super-weird (read the whole menu) and super-delicious.

I recommend ordering "Melting Cultures" but it's terribly spicy.

    Even the bathroom is interesting.

Try Meskel's on 24th and Cherry (maybe 25th?). It is Ethiopian - maybe the best in town - but that is another hot debate.

They have a great vegetarian platter that my daughter has grown up on.

It is something most people haven't tried, it is fun to eat with your fingers, and it is brain meltingly good.

How about Marrakesh on Second Ave in Belltown? Vegetarian options for the mom, unusual entertainment, sitting on pillows and eating with fingers for the angelic 8-year-old.

Lowells in Pike Place Market: lots of choices, great view of the busy waterfront.

On the hill: either of the conveyor belt sushi places, Octo Sushi or Genki Sushi.

Guess I'm thinking that the little one needs entertainment whilst the adults talk, but maybe not.

In which case: Annapura, Charlie's, and the Byzantion are all on Broadway, as is the (loud) Oddfellows Cafe, which, though lacking a wide variety of vegetarian options, has the bonus of being next door to Molly Moon's.
