Is there a way to put all the local news sources I follow on twitter on a map, so I can click on a region and see what's going on there?I follow every newspaper in the State that I know of on Twitter, as well as some good blogs and radio stations. Is there a way to put them on a map, where I could click on the @twittername on the map and see their feed? I've done this mockup in paint, but I'd really like to be able to make the links live. I think it would be cool to be able to look at a map, say "gee I wonder what's going on on the Olympic Peninsula these days" and click on the twitter feed for the Port Townsend Leader or the Port Angeles Peninsula Daily News. Is this possible? Do I need to take a class in web programming to do it? I also think it would be a great way to lean about similar good local news sources. I rarely venture to West Seattle, but I love reading West Seattle Blog, for example. I'm sure there are other blogs out there like it, but I don't know how to find them. I have this fanasty of creating an interactive statewide twitter news map that people could add to. Is this possible? Feasable?
