Where can I get syringes in Seattle?

I'm tired of being robbed buying inkjet cartridge refills, so I'm going to refill them myself. I've got all the necessary parts other than syringes. Thanks!

Hardwick's hardware store on Roosevelt has syringes. I saw perhaps five or six different ones in a case there today.

Depending on your printer brand and model (it works for some Brother and HP models, but not all, and there might be others) there is this "trick" where you can get your cartridge to actually use all of its ink before saying it is out. http://www.wisebread.com/how-to-refill-an-ink-cartridge-with-a-small-piece-of-tape

If you try the refilling syringe thing, don't forget that you have to also bother with resetting your printer, in many cases. I've never tried it, and the few pals who have have been pretty disappointed with their results, as O my captain points out.

But man, if you can get it to work for you, good for you! If not, there are several companies willing to refill them for you, or sell you refilled cartridges at a cost saving. http://www.theinkstopwa.com/ And the Cartridge World folks call my office about once a month. They offer $5 credit for recycling your old cartridges (they'll even come and pick them up). http://www.cartridgeworld.com/usa/usa319/

In the future, stop using inkjet printers. Laser printers are the same price and so much better, ink/tonerwise.

If I actually needed one with a needle for the job I would probably ask one of the veterinarians I take my birds to. If not there are are large bore syringes that are used to dispense glues from, try a comprehensive woodworking supply place or mail order business. Also you probably can find supplies at the ink refill kiosk businesses at a mall.

doesn't Walgreen's refill them for ten bucks?

Just make sure its not a Lexmark or Epson - those fuckers put a chip in there to thwart you.

super sad stats from wikipedia --
Each year over 350 million cartridges are thrown out to landfills.
By 2012 500 million laser cartridges and 1.8 billion ink cartridges will be dumped in landfills.
Each cartridge becomes 3.5 pounds of solid waste sitting in a landfill and can take up to 450 to 1000 years to decompose.
