Book recommendations to help someone who's writing a non-fiction book.My father-in-law is writing a non-fiction book about politics and religion during roman times. He wants it to be accessible and engaging to a general audience, not historians or academics. I'd like to get him a couple books that would be good models for what he is writing. Any recommendations? Thanks! |

There are many great works of historical non-fiction written to be accessible to a general audience. Probably a good idea to get one that is time/place/subject relevant, but some stand out for making a seemingly tough subject fascinating and simple.
