Restaurants that feel secret?I keep having dreams about an apparently nonexistent restaurant in Seattle. It's in a brick building, and you go through an iron gate into a courtyard with lots of plants and maybe a fountain; the restaurant's windows face the street, but there's little way to guess there's a restaurant there. This place is always between Pike Place and Belltown in the dreams. Besides Zig Zag Cafe (can't drive past it) and the old Bleu Bistro, are there any places like this, that feel secret? Places where you can almost pretend passerby have no idea you, or anyone, is in there? Not places upstairs, or like Place Pigalle, but ones where you CAN walk and drive past. |
