They can... but it's entirely up to them. Check with the bar and/or bartender in question in advance.

Yup but you can't go in until AFTER midnight!

They can, but they can also serve you before your 21st birthday (read: it's illegal, but some do). When I turned 21 I lived in the U district, and Dantes would serve you at midnight. I would guess that Earls would too, but then you'd have to drink at Dantes or Earls...

My ex got to have two 21st birthday nights at the bars in Santa Cruz this way. It was awesome.

At least there in Santa Cruz it was no problem, but I would assume that it is up the bar's discretion. Don't be a dick if they don't let you in, just move onto the next bar.

Since by our calendar a day begins at 12am, then l would assume yes. l don't know for sure, but it seems reasonable.

Regardless, few bartenders will refuse to serve you, which implies they don't get busted at 12am on peoples' birthdays by undercovers. They aren't likely to take the risk otherwise, and that's really what matters here, eh?

Enjoy the birthday! ls it yours?

i did it and my girlfriend did it. it seems like cheating but using any logic it's perfectly legal.

My husband says he knows people who have done that. Depends on local law, though, and he's never lived in Seattle.
