In all seriousness: Where can I find a good cannoli in Seattle?

For real. Where?

I've not had that much success, to be honest... Having lived in Boston for many years where I could regularly sample the delicious cannolis made in the North End pastry shops (and elsewhere), I fear my expectations may be too high. I was pleasantly surprised by the *filling* of the cannoli from Stellar Pizza in Georgetown. It had a delicious orange zested ricotta cream in the middle, however, the shell was the standard tough, cardboard-flavored/textured shell that most restaurants in Seattle seem to use. I would say that overall, the best cannoli I've had in Seattle (and by no means have I tried them all) was from Piecora's. The shell was lighter (fresher?) than all the others and the ricotta cream filling was delicious. Still, it was no Mike's Pastry cannoli. If you're really desperate, I suggest you order the "Mike's Ten Count Fresh Cannoli Kit" online here and make a delicious cannoli in the comfort of your own home.

Piecora's are also the best I've found in the city, which is pretty sad, considering that as of a year or so ago when I inquired, they were being trucked in from NY. I don't think a baked-that-day shell is too much to ask (which rules out the kits), so I've given up looking and been meaning to figure out how to make them from scratch.

No frame of reference as to if these are as good as back-east but, "hey paison" has them. The fill them to order and have chocolate and plain. The cheesecake there is made fresh on-site. The proprietors are VERY east coast and they make a great sandwich using their own custom made rolls.

    Hey paison

I know this is not technically Seattle but, the drive is worth it for the authentic sandwiches alone.

In Gig Harbor, about an hour drive from Seattle. There is a little Italian Restaurant called Il Lucanos. The owner, Michele, is from Italy. The food there is absolutely amazing and the Cannoli's, oh my goodness they are my favorite!!! Authentic Italian and SO worth the drive! http://illucanoristorante.com/

I feel your pain! I didn't grow up in cannoli-country (california) but I became a self-styled connoisseur at a young age. I will be really interested to learn what you think of the cannoli at Tutta Bella. Technically, it's a "cornetto" so the shell may not take you home again, but I am addicted to their filling. I am going to try the other suggestions as well, and here are a few more places not mentioned, from Seattle Times, in response to a like rant (you are more than justified):
