Best Milkshake in Seattle?

Not those reconstituted mix things, but real ice cream milkshakes...who has got the best? What makes it so special?

I LOVE Luna Park's milkshakes. They're huge, they use real ice cream, and they'll make pretty much any flavor you could want--banana split, coconut, creamsicle, strawberry, espresso... YUM!

    Lunchbox Laboratory.

Real, hand scooped ice cream. NO SOFT SERVE. Best flavors, made with care.

I have the best milkshakes in Seattle. I know they are the best because all of the boys come to the yard just to get one.

Old School Frozen Custard on Pike and and 13th make an out of this world rich smooth creamy milk shake. Not only do they use their custard but instead of milk they actually use more of the custard itself in liquid form. So amazingly awesome. Personal favorite is the vanilla custard with white chocolate. Mmmmmmmmm

Oh man. The Nutella shake at the Lunchbox Lab is heaven in a beaker. I mean, seriously. Nutella. Milkshake. What more do you need out of life? (Shut up, vegetables.)

Just call ahead first, maybe -- they've been selling out of stuff and shutting down early since they were on the Food Network.

Totem Fish & Chips across from the Ballard Locks! Open since 1938, or some crap. Besides being some of the best clam strips EVER you cannot deny complimenting them with the thickest friggin milkshake in town. the best part is you can practically add as many flavors as you want for the same price. MMMM!! SERIOUSLY! DO ITTT!

For strictly Vanilla the Dilettante in the Westlake Center (not Broadway!) is the best in the biz. Their shakes exhibit the best overall consistency not only texturally, but also flavor-wise. They are not super rich, heavy shakes like those found at Luna Park or the Hurricane, which are also very very good, the Dilettante's shakes just taste clean and can be consumed very easily without the bodily regret many other shakes leave you with.

By's drive-in, Fourth Ave. S. The banana is my jam, and they make them with real fruit, real ice cream, and real milk. Simple and perfect.

I second the vote for Dick's Drive In. They also have the best special hamburger in town. My dog loves those too.

Dick's. Real ice cream. Only the basic flavors. Cheap and Delicious.

And what makes it so special? It's Dick's. Seattle born and raised. It's a great local company that treats it's employees incredibly well.

    Me.

Handmade mexican chocolate ice cream. Rice milk. Kahlua. A teensy splash of Bailey's. And one special secret ingredient. :P
