I actually got my tomato starts about six weeks ago, and planted them in my two Topsy-Turvy as-seen-on-TV contraptions four weeks ago, and I have tiny green tomatoes growing right now. It's going to be a bumper crop if this sun holds out.   0 0 I think it's a smidgen early to get the starts - I think I remember that I started seeing them in late April and early May last year.   0 0 At Central Market in Shoreline there is a sale every year in early to mid May with a wide variety of tomatoes. They are the gallon size and are usually hardened off so can go straight in the ground.   0 0 Seattle Tilth has a great edible plant sale: http://www.seattletilth.org/special_events/EPS/PlantSale09 the first weekend in May. They've got a lot of early tomato varieties that do well here, and they always have great advice. I can personally recommend the Stupice and the Green Zebra varieties.
