What are the best online comics?

Since Paul Constant has clued me in to LucyLou and Scott McCloud, I'm wondering what other web comic gems are out there?

That is the list dude, The easiest way to start a webcomic is to go to the beginning and if you aren't into it by page/click 6 (or so) then you probably wont read it all. There are some fantastic webcomics that don't require you to read the archive. I will separate those below:

    http://nonadventures.com/
    http://www.xkcd.com/
    http://harkavagrant.com/

that link is to one of the many comics by Andrew Hussie, they are mostly random with some themes thrown in. Andrew is an amazing perfect dude and you should watch some of his Star Trek Mashup vids too.

Most of my favorites fall under the Dumbrella umbrella, if you will.

www.achewood.com is hilarious, but a lot of the humor is based on character development, so it takes a bit of work to get into it. Read a few, but eventually you'll have to start at the beginning and read them all (or at least I did). Don't miss the blogs...

xkcd.com - nerdy, but often very funny. Mostly one-off comics, rather than ongoing storylines.

questionablecontent.net - Not really sure why I still read this one. Not very funny - more like a soap opera for hipsters. Started reading and got addicted somewhere along the way.

www.penny-arcade.com - mostly video game related stuff, but pretty funny generally.

http://www.blastwavecomic.com/ - amazing artwork here and pretty funny.

the rest of the stuff that I would recommend is already mentioned.

Where is the best comic book store around Seattle and region?

As for best on-line comic, I'm very partial to "Marvel: Year One" and "We've Got Issues" on www.comicnation.com

I really enjoy the older XKCDs. I highly recommend going back and reading the old ones.

It no longer runs, but there's a great store of comics called Perry Bible Fellowship. They are sort of like "The Far Side" but much darker and dirtier.

And if you are into politics at all, I would also recommend Get Your War On. David Rees is incredibly well informed, incredibly intelligent, and incredibly pissed off. His dry wit and loads of sarcasm make reading about current events palatable. Like PBF, this one was also recently discontinued, but has a huge store of excellent work. A good sample: http://www.mnftiu.cc/category/gywo/war49/

Also, there are GYWO videos on huffingtonpost (again, if politics is your thing)

If you like video game themed adventure with beautiful (and explicitly gory) artwork, you may want to check out Looking for Group. It's always interesting to see where the story goes, it feels epic when you read it. It is set up to look like pages in a comic book.

    :)
