What's your single favorite all-time album?

For me, while most of my favorites come and go, the all-time favorite has been consistent for several years: R.E.M., Automatic For the People.

    Many of my favorites have been listed here. For balance I will add my very favorite, turn-it-up and sing along, every song is good, albums;

Blind Boys of Alabama - Spirit of the Century
Campay Segundo - Las Flores De La Vida
    Zap Mama - Seven
    Gypsy Kings - Mosaique
Pink Floyd - Meddle (or animals or dark side of the moon)

I can not pick a favorite album by the following so it is unlikely I can pick an all time favorite album by just one artist.

kd lang, Paul Simon, David Bowie, Grace Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Philip Glass, Moby, The Beatles...

    Cesaria Evora, Cafe Atlantico

There are very few albums where I love each and every song. Cafe Atlantico is one of them.

I'm afraid I simply won't be able to give one answer. These are some of my favorites off the top of my head:

    The Beatles - Revolver
    Radiohead - Kid A
    Weezer - Pinkerton
    Datarock - Datarock Datarock
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV

The Beatles, "'Yesterday'...And Today!". Butcher cover. Yes, it's all chopped up and horrible and blah-blah-blah, but it's the way I first heard it and the way I like it still. The best song the Beatles ever did is "And Your Bird Can Sing".

Second choice: The Lucksmiths, "Naturaliste" or The Go-Betweens "Before Hollywood" or Orange Juice "You Can't Hide Your Love Away" or the Razorcuts "R is for Razorcuts" or Al Green "Let's Stay Together" or Jimmy Smith "The Cat" or Dean Martin "This Time I'm Swingin'" or "Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Songbook" or the Chills "Submarine Bells" or the Bats "Daddy's Highway" or, or, or ....

I'm not a big believer in "single favorite".

    Kitchens of Distinction-Love is hell
    Bats-Fear of god
    Grant Lee Buffalo-Jubilee

I have even avoided these for months at a time because if one got in the cd player it wouldn't come out.
