What's the price of a baguette in London?

My partner and I are considering a move across the pond. We'd be living on just one salary at least at first and some savings that will be much diminished by the exchange rate. I've googled around but can't seem to find any info to tell me the cost of average groceries, a kilo of sugar, a pack of chicken breast,a sack of potatoes or the like. Any websites or first hand knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Real Brits drink their dinner. The only solid food comes from takeaway curry joints after closing time. Some days it's just lager and chips.

Try tesco's or Asda's website. Asda is the UK equivilent to Walmart. I have lived in The UK. Yur food costs will be somewhat low but rent, fuel, taxes etc are very high there
