At one, drinking is perfectly normal and accepted, while at the other, drinking is generally frowned upon.

If I'm hangry, then I'm waiting in line for brunch.
If I'm hungry, then I'm on my way to the kitchen for breakfast.
    Late breakfast sucks.

You can eat lunch during brunch. Or breakfast. The world is your oyster during brunch.

Breakfast is typically just breakfast foods and is served earlier. Brunch is Breakfast + Lunch = Brunch of course. So, Brunch is served around 11am-ish and can include typical breakfast foods or more lunchy items. Brunches often happen on weekends, mainly Sundays and often for holidays or events like Mother's Day Brunch, Easter Brunch, Wedding Shower Brunch, etc. Usually if you eat Brunch you don't also have lunch unless you eat lunch very late which in turn pushes dinner back to 8 or 9pm for most people. But, usually have brunch, skip lunch and then have dinner.

Brunch takes longer, and you get to sleep in.

Brunch is generally served later in the day, towards noon or even afternoon. Nothing different is really served, except maybe alcohol? Not sure, I guess it depends on the people you eat with/the place you go to eat.
