  1 0 You should also be able to order one from any high-end grocer if Shoreline is too far for you to go. I would suggest you check with Metropolitan Market first. You can also usually order speciality fowl from butchers such as A&J Meat Market on the top of QA Hill and Don & Joe Meats in the Pike Place Market. You might also consider a game bird. Central Market in Shoreline carries frozen pheasant which might be more inexpensive than ordering fresh fowl.   1 0 This might sound weird... but check Craigslist. Their garden/farming section is very often full of farmers selling their own local meat and produce. I've heard great things and you can get a much better price if you buy directly from farmers. Most geese are 9-12 lbs, so you should call ahead to see if they will butcher one for you, if you desire less. Good for you, cooking a Christmas goose! Stuff it apples, prunes, and brandy and it will be, as the kids of yore say, 'off the hook'.
