where can i find a cheap place to stay this july in chicago?

i'm going to my niece's wedding and i need cheap accomodation for four nights (7/23 to 7/27)in downtown chicago. any and all suggestions are welcome. thank you.

    Seriously, you might try contacting the YMCA, as they used to run a hotel/boarding facility, and might be able to turn you onto temporary housing. Good luck.
