How can you minimize the pain from a gallbladder attack?

The pain medication I got at the emergency room (oxycodone) is just barely working. Is there anything non-perscription I can do to decrease the pain? I am willing to try crazy folk remedies.

Drink some fresh red beet juice or eat some red beets. Don't drink the juice of more than one beet at a time though and start by juicing only half of one beet for a day or two.

Call your doctor or the ER and tell them the medication is not working on your pain. It may be a sign that the problem is worse than suspected or that it is progressing and requires further treatment. If anything, they will give you something stronger to get you through.
