Where can I get a cake that looks like a hamburger?

I am helping with a friends birthday party for this Sunday and the theme is 'Hamburger Party' is there somewhere in Seattle that I could get a cake that looks like a hamburger that wouldn't have to be custom made or cost a fortune?

You can make one pretty easily.

One yellow cake, one chocolate cake, some icing and food coloring. Also--sesame seeds.

Make the cakes according to directions, and sprinkle a few sesame seeds on the yellow cake. After baking the cakes, split the yellow cake in half side to side, this becomes the "bun." The chocolate cake becomes the burger--if you think it's going to be too thick in relation to the bun, you can cut this in half too.

Split the frosting between 3 bowls and color them red (ketchup/tomato), yellow (mustard) and green (lettuce).

Put the base of the yellow cake on the bottom, put the chocolate cake on top of that (you can use a little of the frosting in the center of the two layers to make them stick if you want, just make sure it doesn't show through the sides). Put the three kinds of frosting on top of the chocolate cake and make sure you spread it so it's visible on the sides. Then put the top half of the yellow cake on top.

I've done this with cupcakes before, and it worked out pretty well.

You should check out any of the larger QFCs. Specifically the one on Holman Rd in North Seattle has a great cake department for these kind of cakes. People in my office have ordered all sort of things and I am sure they can do a hamburger. The costs should be reasonable.

Boracini's will do it custom, and it will be cheap, and as long as you're drunk you won't mind how dry the cake is.

The QFC on the N end of Broadway used to sell burger cakes for 20 something dollars! I think they still do..
