Eyes on Fremont is fantastic. They have a TON of different, stylish frames, many of which come in more colors than just the ones on display. I just got my newest pair of glasses there (cherry red plastic cat-eye frames), and not only were the sales people really lovely, but for the first time ever, I found, like, a dozen different frames that I LOVED. And, the glasses were relatively inexpensive -- roughly $300 before various healthcare discounts were applied.

Do not make the mistake, however, of going on a Saturday afternoon -- it was a madhouse.

I also recommend Eyes on Fremont. I just got a fabulous pair of glasses with vintage cat-eye frames.

I also found a lot of great frames at Roosevelt Vision Source. (I ended up getting a second pair there, because they accept insurance. Eyes on Fremont does not. So I paid full price at Eyes on Fremont--about $370 due to my extreme prescription needs--and then used my insurance at Roosevelt Vision Source and picked up a second pair of glasses for $26.)

At any glasses shop, be sure to talk to the staff. Often there are MANY more frames than what is currently on display. Both pairs of glasses I bought were from not-on-display stock.

If you want honest style advice about frames that look good on you (classy!), Warren Ruby at Broadway Vision Source is a genius.

Colaizzo Opticians on top Queen Anne. Camille and her staff have succeeded in capturing my business for life. I've bought a dozen frames from them over the past 6 to 10 years. I would be surprised if any other shop in Seattle carries Ic! Berlin frames.

    Consider paying a visit.

    $300 is relatively INexpensive!?

How about $30! I'm not stylish, so I bought a $9 pair. They've worked great for two years now.
