The most important question ever posed in questionland: where in this beautiful city can one purchase margaritas sold by the pitcher?

It is almost pay day, and the burning question is where can one buy margaritas by the pitcher? A bunch of us would like marg to the maximum this weekend-something about sharing the pitcher with friends after a long work week (of checking email, posting questions, and reading the Slog) is way more fun than drinking by the glass. Any suggestions?

While it is indeed against Washington State liquor law to serve booze family-style, there are a few places around town that serve margaritas in gigantic glasses. If I remember correctly, Selena's Guadalajara in Wallingford does massive fishbowl-style margaritas.

I hope I'm wrong, and I look forward to any answers showing that I am wrong, but I believe it is illegal in Washington state to sell a pitcher of margaritas.

The Washington state liquor board website appears to be down, but the following text is cached in Google:

"Sale of margaritas and other cocktails served in pitchers, carafes or bowls from which two or more persons consume is prohibited."

I believe the only place I have ever had a pitcher of margarita sold to me in this state was at a bar that shall remain unnamed in the town of Glacier on the way to Baker. As Lars von Trier once said, "The best action is found on roads to nowhere."
