But I'm worried that you are pushing 40 and are worried about what other people think. That has me concerned; I mean you should have let that go during your 20's.

You can get into trouble with clothing though. Dress appropriately for your body type: if your chunky no one wants to see you at a club in a super tight tee shirt or tank top no matter how cool it is.

I can't comment at all about clubbing. But dressing nice/up would add the look of confidence. Which is always a good signal to put out there, in any situation.

Though, as to put out the "work hard play hard" vibe instead of the "desperately trying to hold onto my youth" vibe, a bit of gentlemanly class wouldn't hurt.

I don't know about clubbing, I don't "club" but I do go out for beers with a group of buddies from time to time. Our crew ranges in age from 22 to 55, and nobody looks askance at us. I think part of the trick is to go out with friends.

You're more likely to look like a creeper if you're flying solo and you're the only one in the room who can rent a car without paying the underage fee. Find a group of friends to go out with, and don't worry about what other people think. Haters gonna hate.

Triple Door comes to mind, also Dimitriou's Jazz Alley which is also very booth/table focused. During Summer, the concerts at Chateau St Michelle are also very picnic / sit-down in style: though often much to the frustration of the crowd and/or musicians: I was there for the Corrs some years back, and if one stood up, the Security folks would quickly swoop in and tell one to sit back down, or move to the Designated Dancing Area off to the side. Meanwhile the band seemed quite perplexed and was trying to figure out what was wrong that nobody was dancing to them despite their cajoling... *Very* Seattle.

By the way, Dimitriou's has both booth with table service, but also stools at the bar that still have good sightlines to the stage area, so those might be a good bet for a slightly more casual experience.

the triple door downtown is somewhat like that; it has really nice booths and table service in a theater setting, but what you're descibing sounds more casual. the triple door is a bit formal.

Candy Cane Lane is fun and more impressive, but it's much smaller and there's usually traffic backups. Plan your visit accordingly.

How do you feel about doing it online? Considered Amazon used sales?

I sold all my DVDs over Amazon a couple years ago and it went better than expected. It was a good ratio of hassle to money. I checked around locally and made least 1.5-2x of what I would have at a store, on top of selling all the stuff they wouldn't have wanted.

You get $2.99 for shipping on every DVD no matter what, but sometimes if it's like the east coast you can lose money/break even if the DVD didn't sell for at least $1.

I also visited a lot of shipping places and the UW bookstore has the cheapest padded DVD-sized envelopes I could find.

Anyway, takes time, you gotta get your Amazon account all registered as a seller, you gotta list them, you gotta deal with shipping (learn to use the self-service stands later at night... they are great), but it is an option! The best part is, as long as you keep undercutting, no matter how shitty the DVD is, it will sell.

I can't recall his name, but you could try just contacting the bar- I'm sure they'd be willing to give you his contact info- or going in for trivia night and checking it out/ speaking to him personally (trivia used to be on Tuesdays but I haven't been in for a while so you might want to verify).

Not much is mentioned about the purchasing of HUMP tickets until it get's really close. Last time I was trying to price tickets a month in advance and couldn't find anything about pricing or when they'd go on sale OR which vendor would be selling them.

I do believe you'll be able to do it online, I bet it'll be through brown paper tickets but don't hold me to that.
