The Seattle Parks and Recreation website doesn't explicitly list RHS, but does make the following statement:

We have an agreement with Seattle Public Schools that enables us to use each other's facilities when theirs are not in use for school purposes, and ours are not in use for scheduled programs.

the best ride is just to "ride up the rendezvous", up rendezvous road (which is real long and slightly up hill but isnt too terrible! and you can just turn around and come back when you've had enough uphill).

the east winthrop-twisp road is nice and flat and not-too hilly and runs right along the river. doing a loop up twin lakes road then down 20 might be nice, and there is enough of a shoulder on 20 to ride just fine (...or at least there was 10 years ago when i lived there!).

Once you make contact with a community of sports players you can find out the particulars of where it would be best for you to start. As with any sports group, be sure to let them know your experience level, need for coaching or desire to be placed with others that are interested in showing you the techniques.

If you don't want to break your wrists, learn to fall properly because you'll be falling at every level of skateboarding. A judo class could help, but basically *do not lock your elbows*. When in doubt, bend your knees and crouch low. And roll or slide instead of trying to stop yourself using just your hands. I was in your same boat at one point. I started learning around 24 or 25. I never had much luck in Cap Hill. When you get good enough to roll down a bit of a hill, the brick section in front of SCCC is really fun. If you go later at night, there are less obstacles. For now, there is that little area at the top where the trees are that is fairly flat and not usually crowded. Parking lots at night can work, but none really stick out to me.

Play It Again sports downtown has used sporting goods they may have frisbees.

I don't have detailed info about either place--not a soccer player--but both Arena Sports (SODO & Redmond & ?)and Starfire (Tukwila) have women's soccer and co-ed soccer classes/leagues. Note that these are for-profit companies, not recreational or community leagues.

Start on 17th and Madison and either go west to downtown (1.5 mi.) or east to Madison Park (2 mi.). Not all sloped, but virtually no climbs.

The parking lot at Stevens Elementary always seems to have some skateboarders.

Damn kids.

There used to be squash courts at Seattle U at about 14th and Cherry.

The Seattle Athletic Club has a great Squash court and pros to help you improve/learn the game:

They have a location on Western Ave near the Market and in Northgate.

Seattle Central Community College on Capitol Hill has 2 squash courts and great facilities overall. They offer community memberships for about $40 a month. I've been playing squash there regularly for over 2 years.

It's a little beyond the regular cages you can hit at but if you're at least semi-serious about ball this place is great. Not sure if they take individuals in the cages but if you have more than one I'm sure you can get in.

I could recommend a good one in Puyallup or Bellingham, but that's not really going to be closer than Funtasia.

This is a prime example of the wuss-ification of Seattle.

In answer to your question, here is your answer!

Seattle Roller Derby http://seattlerollerderby.com is a new recreational league that teaches skating to beginners!

That seems pretty rare to find. You might have to hire a private dance instructor. If you contacted the places you've already looked at, I bet they could put you in touch with someone who could help you.

24th on Capitol Hill from Aloha down to the Montlake bridge is a long, gradual down hill.

The Iron Horse Trail sounds like a good fit for you. It climbs across Snoqualmie Pass, so if you drop in near the top, you can run miles downhill. There is also a a really cool miles-long tunnel cut through the mountain near Hyak, but that is closed during the winter. Since you don't want to drive too far, you should probably drop in on the western side of the tunnel anyway.

I've done South Cle Elum to the western terminus on bicycle in the summer, and vouch that it is a unique trail worth seeing. You should probably call ahead to see what the trail's conditions are like at this time of year. Here is an article that tells a little bit about it.

Not sure if these are longer than Crown Hill to Ballard but:

5th ave NE is a pretty good long hill. I think it peaks around 85-90th and slopes down all the way to Northgate way.

Another good option is to run either down 80th from Greenwood ave down to Greenlake, or if you don't want to run down such a busy road, 83rd down to Greenlake drive to the lake is a pretty good route (it's got some steeper sections than the 5th ave route).

Best bet, if you haven't yet considered it would be Golden Gardens. Start at the top of the stairs, run down the road, take the stairs back and repeat. Definitely would be maximizing downhill distance and has the advantage of not being a point to point.

If you can do a point to point run, maybe drive to the highest parking area at Cougar Mt (not sure exactly where that it is, but I think on the north side in one of the neighborhoods), and then run from there all the way down through Coal Creek.

One thing that really helped me it to go to ADULT skate nights. There's far fewer people (and no small children to skate around or fall in front of you), they play great music, and some of the skaters on the floor are AMAZING. I learned a lot from just one visit.

Lastly, get yourself to a great skate shop or in the case of the last link a place that specializes in the serving the roller derby community. If they can't give you a reference to someone that can work with you I would be very surprised.

Back in the 60s and 70s when I skied, nobody, but NOBODY, had an SUV; they didn't exist. Every once in a while you'd see some nutjob in a Jeep, with his plastic windows flapping in the breeze, and it's true that every once in a while the winch on the front would be helpful to someone in a ditch. But everybody else made do with regular ol' cars. And not modern balanced front-wheel-drive cars like your Corolla. In fact, the best car in the snow in those days was the lowly VW bug, which had the engine over the drive wheels just like you do. We made it to the mountains many times with our crappy Fords and Mercurys.

I'd even go so far as to argue that a sedan in the hands of someone who is patient and paying full attention to the road is much better off than a hulking SUV with a typical oblivious nitwit at the wheel. Four wheel drive is nice, but SUVs still handle and brake like trucks. I see SUVs stuck in the snow all over town everytime it snows, even here in the lowlands.
