Tip just like you normally would; good service should be appreciated, even if the food comes directly to your table.

Even though the servers don't bring food, they still take drink orders, and check in on you for other requests, as you noted. Moreover, they should be checking in and making sure your experience there is a good one. They also have to answer when people hit the blue light button, which takes extra effort. Also, you can order off the menu, so they do run food orders just like other restaurants. And, the Blue C in U-Village has a bar section, so those servers bring food as well.

But servers at any place that seats and serves as many children as regularly as that place does deserves the tips, in my opinion. Servers generally split tips with bussers and hostesses, so tipping lower than you normally would affects all of them.

I own a nook (a gift from my SO) and I love it! I've had it about 2 months.

What I love:
So far, it's compatible with any format I've needed so far (including Seattle library's electronic books in epub format). I haven't tried to use Gutenberg.
The battery lasts a very long time, and charges pretty fast. I haven't road-tested it on a plane ride or long trip yet, though.
The menu is touch screen, and in color. You can browse for books by looking at their covers, which I love. I don't think the Kindle is in color at all yet (*I think*).
It has a built in wifi connection so you can go online and buy books from anywhere. And you get bonuses (like free books) when you're in a B&N store.
It also has a built in dictionary and highlighter so you can look things up or mark them as you read.

The only real drawback so far is that you use the B&N website to search for specific titles (other than best sellers, new releases, or specific genres), and the interface is pretty clunky.

I bought the damage protection plan because I'm pretty klutzy, too. I bought a durable cover, and so far, no issues!

It's a bad idea. In order for the pill to be as effective as possible (99.whatever percent), you need to take a pill around the same time everyday for at least 14 days. If you don't take it regularly, or skip a month, then start a new pack, you won't be protected from day 1. Until day 14 you would need to use a back-up method anyway, so essentially, you would only getting half a 28-day cycle's worth of pill-only protection. And half of THAT time, you'll be on your period (in theory).

If side effects are the issue, ask your doc about switching brands. There are SO many kinds nowadays that use different kinds and levels of hormones, so it might take awhile to find your favorite, but odds are, one will work for you. Or ask about switching to an alternate birth control method (like IUDs).

Please don't attempt to regulate your own birth control pill cycle...it's not a good idea!

If you never wear makeup, wearing ANY will make a difference. Moisturize under your eyes (like others have said) then use a cream/stick concealer. If you don't want to spend a lot, or mostly shop at drugstores, the brands I like best are L'Oreal or Neutrogena. They both have concealer in a cream or stick form.

Most places will carry a natural/organic cosmetics brand like Burt's Bees or Yes to Carrots. They might not have a concealer, but (depending on the store's selection) they should have a moisturizer that will help perk up your skin and restore vitamins you're missing from lack of sleeping/eating enough.
