    chinatown's busy, crowded, and culture-rich. try that.
    the academy of sciences is amazing, as is the deyoung museum.
    idk if the warfield theater is playing anything, but you can still tour-historic, contemporary, just amazing overall.
    just walk around and follow the signs-you'll be surprised at what you'll find.

    a national park nearby, or a state park nearby.
    atop a mountain, or in the desert.
    out @ sea, too.
    dunno which city you're in, so can't be specific.
    try a forest, and climb some trees to get a better vantage point.
