My ex-college roommate was a lesbian who hung out with guys all the time. All of her closest friends were men. However, she herself acted like a man, getting into fights, drinking, obsessively watching Tarantino movies, rating women on a scale of 1 to 10, ect. She also had this really odd anxiety about talking to women at all and she told me the only reason I talked to her and didn't hate her was because I had self esteem issues. So she's a nut.
My point is I think most girls, lesbian or not, probably act like girls, and many guys don't know how to deal with that. Women are more likely to know how to survive in a male world than men are to learn how to survive in a female world. It's easier for guys to hang out with women if they are all doing guy stuff like playing call of duty, but not if they are doing girl stuff like having touchy-feely conversations.
