  • Books whose content doesn't match their reading level?
    Reneh_2_small

I think it is important for kids to read age-appropriate content. There are lots of good choices in classics and middle reader. Because she is an avid reader and reads above her grade level you will be challenged to keep her supplied. It sounds like she enjoys being 8 so here are some recommendations (hopefully she hasn't already read them!):

    -books by Roald Dahl

-The Doll People Trilogy by Ann Martin

-The Phantom Toolbooth by Norton Juster

-books by Avi (he writes a wide selection)

    -Anne of Green Gables series

    -E.B. White books

-The Nicholas series by Goscinny & Sempe

-The Magic series by Edward Eager

    -books by Gail Carson Levine

    -books by Eleanor Estes

-The Girl Who Could Fly by Victoria Forester

Just to name a few. I hope this helps.
