Depending on your pain tolerance, taking a couple IB before going in is a good idea. It helps keep down the max. amount of redness right after and sometimes swelling if there is any. I use to take 2-3 IB 30 minutes before going in.

I would say, Yes, bother with your legs! I've been told that many women forget to do the back of their thighs when waxing. There is usually hair there and if one is going for a smoothless no-hair look... one has to get rid of it all. But if you're just getting a Brazilian for pantie-lines and don't care about hair on your legs, that's a different matter. If it was me, I'd get a full leg along with the Brazilian. I think it's worth it just for the clean, smooth feeling on my legs.

For me, shaving is much worse growing back than waxing. Hair growing back with shaving is about 12 hours after, with waxing it's about 3 days. I have very dark hair on fair skin though so it might be different for you depending on the hair-skin makeup you have. Also, sometimes it takes a couple waxing sessions to get rid of all the hair that is use to being shaved and adjust its growing cycle to being waxed.

Giving it time is a good idea (in case your skin responds poorly to the wax or something). But if you go back in two weeks, the touch-up might miss some hairs still growing in that will show up after you leave. 5-6 weeks isn't a touch-up but it's a good time to go back in after a first visit because it has a higher likelyhood of getting all the hairs instead of missing the ones still growing back. Although, since it sounds like your hair is use to shaving it might grow back faster after your first wax and thus 2 weeks might be enough. I'd ask whoever you are working with about it since they will be able to look at your hair and make a guessestimation.

As for places, I go to Wax Sabbath in georgetown. I have been going there for about a year now. Sandy is amazing, and probably would answer all the questions you have.

Good luck and make sure to look up aftercare information (like no hot baths 24-48 hours after, no sex for 24 hours after... that kinda stuff).

But it helps when it comes to qualifying for authorization. Getting medical records that show a history helps if one is going to a doctor that isn't the person's primary doctor. At least, I would hope so. The doctors I worked with required a medical history.

  • What exactly qualifies you for medical marijuana?

A medical need that is covered by the state law and medical history to show evidence of need.

There are plenty of resources online to easily find an answer to this question, unless there are more specific details to your question that aren't shared.

  • What would cause The Stranger to think they could actually start a ticket service? The 2010 Hump tickets are a complete failure.

Not really an answer because I don't know the current issues involving The Stranger ticket service and Hump tickets (the only thing I've heard is that they are "Selling Fast" ... dontcha just find it hilarious when people say that /all/ the time when they are in support of more people going)...

But I had to comment because I absolutely adore your avatar, Duchamp for the WIN!!!

Of course I understand the generalizing overtone of the premise that I stated. When I wrote it I kind of was thinking just in terms of my own relationship [such a trap!]. After I posted and reread it, I realized how it sounded. Sounded like I could have worded it a bit better, but oh well, can't be perfect all the time.

I liked your question back. And thinking about it, I think I do need the vocalization. Perhaps not full conversations but just here and there 'check-ins' (as I see it).

Being from the other side of the verbalness, have you ever dealt or had to figure a comprimise with a more vocal partner or do you use body language like Heather mentioned (you don't have to answer if you don't want to, I just thought it might be helpful to figure out the other viewpoint[s] as much as I can)?
