The last thing the technical people (OR GNOMES) behind any site want to do is write a "bio," but the "business" people have insisted, so.. Ahem.

I got my start in programming as a weaver using punch cards on a Jacquard loom. So if it seems strange to you that a Gnome is the coder for (read: brains behind) Questionland, then you just haven't been around long enough. I've been around a long time. LOOK AT MY BEARD.

Everyone thought it was such a big deal when CRTs weren't green anymore. Well, Sonny, I was weaving in color long before NVIDIA came up with the GeForce.

I do admit to having spent a little too long working at that clip art site, though. The state of the web was so depressing at the time, I figured I'd go right to the belly of the beast. And there I sat, tweaking htaccess files and self-closing break tags, until a couple of scruffy-looking guys and a mushroom (don't get me started) made me an offer I was too bored to refuse.

I'm so glad they did! It seems that web technology has finally caught up to 19th century loom technology, and I can work on something I love again.

Thanks for making me feel good about what I do. I welcome any and all feedback (they made me say that).
