This was a really great question, and prompted me to investigae the Roku XDS. Now I'm wondering whether you can add other streaming websites besides the ones that come pre-loaded on the Roku? Also, do you know of any legitimate websites to stream sports (NFL, NBA primarily) that could work on the Roku? Thanks!

Definitely the lazy, beer-y kind of floating. Is Big 5 your recommendation for that?

Never mind. I just spoke with a customer service person at Broadstripe and the price I was looking at was only a promo price for 4 months and then it shoots up by more than 2x as much and you have to agree to a 13-month contract. Broadstripe apparently blows.

I just looked at Broadstripe's website to set up an account, and if you get their internet and digital cable bundle, it's pretty comparable to what Comcast charges for just internet. You're right that it's based on zip code whether you get Broadstripe or Comcast, but I'm happy I'm now in Broadstripe's region.
