  1 0 Trader Joes has great deals on basil, they sell a huge clamshell container of stalks for about $4 but if you only need a few leaves at a time you can try one of their lush living plants for the same price...it might not live forever but for $4 you can enjoy it for a couple months and not feel guilty.   What are some good, cheap homemade facial scrubs?

  1 0 I keep it simple and use organic sugar & lemon juice. I just put it on cotton pads and gently exfoliate. It’s really great for your lips. I have really dry and sensitive skin, and as long as you follow up with a good serum and/or moisturizer the acidity won’t dry you out.   Where's the best place to get a crab roll?

  0 0 "I Love Sushi" on Lake Bellevue (there are two in Bellevue, this is the more upscale location) has the most incredible spider rolls, tempura soft shell crab- to die for.   what's the best way to learn a language quickly?

  1 0 Ok Pimsleur is grrreaaat and all that, I got my son Japanese lessons and it’s actually a good format. HOWEVER, they have very shady business practices like continuing to send you disks that you did not order and deduct it automatically from your account, and those said disks have to be returned at your cost w/in 10 days of requesting a Return Authorization Number or they won’t accept it at the warehouse (meaning you have to ship it fast which costs big $$$!). I would recommend paying for them in a way that doesn’t grant them access to your bank account because they will wear it out if not!   Did you ever have a cabbage patch doll? If yes, do you remember the name it had on the birth patch certificate? What happened to it?

  Fun, healthy food for the "munchies"?

  0 0 I love to eat blueberries when I'm stoned, because they're delicious, sweet, healthy, and you can pop them like candy! You can eat 100 of them and its actually good for you! Same with grapes. I also love dry cereal like Puffins, the TJs frosted mini wheats, and granola (but not too much!). High fiber and again, you can eat many handfuls of it and not do damage. Assorted nuts Dried fruit Hummus and pita bread is another good one... Oh we love to make fruit, Greek honey yogurt, and granola parfaits.. I make a snack tray of those Italian marinated veggies, cheese, assorted nuts, crackers, and whatever else you may have to throw on there, variety is key when satisfying the munchies! Just be sure to stock your fridge w/healthy stuff so that is what you have available and you wont be as tempted to go to 7-11 for slurpies & nachos or to order pizza.   know of any cool, cheap cabin rentals in the San Juan Islands?

  1 0 I've been to the West Beach Resort on Orcas Island, it was awesome! We stayed in one of the little cabins on the water, you can check out pics online. Orcas is cool, it has some kick ass hiking trails and a nice little downtown area w/funky little shops and taverns. Loved it, cant wait to go back!
