  What are the top selling beers in Washington?

  1 0 I cannot speak about Big Beer, but as far as local craft beer is concerned the two top sellers around Seattle are Manny's Pale Ale and Mac and Jack's African Amber. It's nice that you apparently like the 120 Minute IPA, but sales of that beer are probably quite miniscule compared to things like Deschutes Mirror Pond, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and many local brews.   What was the law that made Coors Beer impossible to get in Washington back in the day?

  4 1 Coors was a non-union brewery and therefore many states would not allow it. Remember that way back in the olden days unions were actually strong in America. For a long time Coors was not available east of the Mississippi. Hence the need to go to Texas to get it in the Movie Smokey and the Bandit. Other state also would not allow Coors because of the union thing. Washington is an example. I believe that it wasn't until the late 70s or early 80s that Coors was available here. The "two state" rule? I've never heard of it. Augustus Busch shipped Budweiser all over the country more than 100 years ago, so that "two state" thing might be hooey. I don't know.   What bars serve gluten-free beer in Seattle?

  3 0 I know that the Porterhouse Pub in West Seattle has gluten free beer, as does the Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle. Likely, any serious beer bar with a bottle selection (Latona Pub, Fiddlers Inn, Brouwer's Cafe, etc) will have gluten free beers. Brewers have been making great headway lately with gluten free beers.   I'm in Chicago for a meeting, staying on the "Magnificent Mile". Is there anyplace around here that is not ridiculously touristy?

  Where is the best selection of beer in the u district?

  3 0 The Latona Pub (65th and Latona) is one of the most highly revered beer bars in the city. Legendary. You will not be disappointed. A bit further north, on or near Lake City Way, Hudson Public House and Coopers Alehouse are both excellent. Don't forget about Big Time Brewery (University Ave) and Ram Brewery (U Village).   Where is everyone drinking on New Year's Eve?

  0 0 It's the worst night of the year to be on the road, so we're looking to our neighborhood joints. In our case, that means Mission, The Cask or the Beveridge Place Pub. - For an early night out that gets you home before the drunk drivers hit the roads, there are two wine tastings we know of - at Vino Bello in Burien, and at Bin41 in West Seattle.
