  Some good post-apocalyptic reads?

  0 0 I'm really surprised that Cormac McCarthy's The Road isn't on here. Probably one of my favorite books of all time, it's dark and dreary and fantastic. Also, if you're into something a little weird, there's a genre of fiction called "bizarro" that kinda sprung out of Portland and while not specifically post-apocalyptic most often the world the stories take place in are in essentially an exaggerated and fucked up version of the one we live in.   0 0 i've read most of chuck palahniuk but am pretty bored by it now. it's got the gross out bizarro factor but it's not really as intelligent as palahniuk would like to think. plus he's kinda a downer when it comes to thinking about the world. i met him once and my friend asked him what his spiritual leanings were. he said catholic so that must explain it.
