  1 0 Comics Dungeon is the only store in town that I know of that buys back issues. But you won't get top dollar by selling to a shop. Their goal is to resell your books at a profit, after all. (And their big back issue sale next Sunday doesn't help your prospects much.) I have gotten a better rate at C.D. by opting for store credit instead of cash. The fact that your books are recent and not rare decreases the likelihood the any shop will want to buy them. To get specifics, you will have to take the books into the store. Call ahead to arrange a time - (206)545-8373. To get an idea of the retail value of specific issues, look them up on eBay or at www.milehighcomics.com You are certain to get more money selling your books on eBay But that will take a lot of time, which may be more valuable to you than money.   0 0 BTW, if your bananas are getting too ripe for you, throw them in the freezer for a few days. Then peel 'em and throw 'em in a blender.   "Operation Dumbo Drop" DRINKING GAME

  2 0 A friend at WWU devised a game called Chug Boat to be played while watching reruns of Love Boat. Players would each pick a cast member or guest of the week. Every time your character appeared on screen, you had to drink. Every time there was a shot of the boat, everyone had to yell "Chug Boat" and drain their glass. (Quick warning - If you ever pay Chug Boat, don't pick Doc or Charo. You will not make it thru the episode.) This model can be applied to any show or film.   Does anyone know of any comprehensive map or database of underground walkways in downtown Seattle?

  1 0 There is a tunnel that crosses under 5th Ave and Columbia between The Columbia Tower (Southwest corner) and The Bank of America Building (Northeast corner). Enter Columbia Tower on 4th Ave. Go up the escalator, veer right, pass the juice joint, and the tunnel entrance is just to the right of the ATM (BofA, natch). Half way down the tunnel there is a doorway on the right that takes you into Seattle Municipal Tower. At the end of the tunnel there is an elevator to the lobby on the ground floor.   Does anyone know a good (not scary) movie for a 2.5 year old?

  1 2 I would recommend the Wallace and Gromit shorts from Aardman Studios. The animation, characters, and stories are quite delightful. Seek out The Incredible Adventures of Wallace and Gromit, which contains 3 films. On that DVD, both The Wrong Trousers and A Grand Day Out are completely suitable for small children. The third film, A Close Shave, has a somewhat menacing antagonist, so what it in advance and judge for yourself. Each film is only 30 minutes, but you'll all want to watch more than one. Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is an 85 minute film, and is very silly, but slightly spooky, so you might want to wait a year or two.   Now that 2010 is over, did anyone go out and rent the movie to experience it?

  0 0 I really liked this movie when it came out in '84. I saw it again last year, and although some of it aged badly and came off a bit goofy, it was still pretty enjoyable. But Yakof Smirnof was NOT in this film! You are thinking of Elya Baskin, who was also in Moscow on the Hudson, and still pops up quite a bit in films and on TV. Elya Baskin http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0059946/ This film did a great job of redeeming Hal, showing him as a victim not a villain.
